links to other writers The biggest problem authors have is to get their books known. In a small way, we intend to do something about this.

I am opening the Booksite to both "self-published" authors and authors published by conventional publishers. In most cases no publisher today gives a midlist author any publicity besides sending out a book for review.

I hope you will take the time to visit these author's booksites. For many authors this is their life's work, or the book involes some intense interest. Some of the books here have taken 15 to 20 years to complete. The links here will take you directly to the author's booksite.  Please take the time to learn something about the book and the author.

To authors. I will be glad to place your book on the author's book corner. Please send me a request--If I can get a picture of the cover I will put it on the site.

Vibrant shimmering color is the hallmark of a pastel painting.  Spontaneous and versatile the medium inspires free range of an artist’s creativity.   A valuable companion for the beginning student or emerging artist and a source of enrichment and inspiration for the advanced pastellist the 125 page Little Book About Pastel is a wealth of information.  Lavishly illustrated with sixteen glowing color plates and 54 black and white reproductions.

Basics techniques and helpful hints are deftly combined with the expertise of five other internationally prominent award-winning Master and Distinguished Pastellists.  In individual chapters each artist addresses a specific subject and their unique approaches and techniques.

“The format of this book is small but the content is comprehensive. If one is looking for a short but authoritative survey of pastel painting it is definitely to be recommended.

The Vissionaries: Historicals are my favorite reading and THE VISIONARIES was one of the best I've read. The authenticity of the characters and setting stemmed from what must have been exhaustive research. I cant wait for Bernice Curler's next book.
